"And we know that in all things God works for the
good of those who love him, who have been called according to his
purpose."
This verse gives us hope when we do not
understand why things happen. God has always been faithful, even
when there seems to be no hope. He is the same yesterday, today
and forever.
In the bible there is a great example of
this in the story of Joseph. He was a faithful child of God, who
was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery. While he was a
slave, he was favored by the pharaoh of Egypt because of the gift God
gave him of interpreting dreams.
He became second in command in all of
Egypt and through a series of events, he was reunited with his brothers.
When they asked him to forgive them, he said,
"What you meant for evil, God used for
good."
This is critical to understand for us to
have peace while we walk with God. He knows exactly what you're
going through and cares about you. Trust in Him and He will not
let you down.
